Hello! Welcome to my blog ( again ) and happy new year! 🥳🎉For today I'm going to share an abandoned comic and art ( that I've worked on ) project named " The Houghton Bros", or its acronym , "THB" . This year , after 2 whole months studying for my final exams , i revive and bring it back to life! :)

The Houghton Bros or formally known as 'THB' is a comic and an animation project made by Sara Marrisa ( me ) . The story is about two brothers named Tim Houghton and Ted Houghton. As the creator at a young age, honestly , i don't even know what is the story's about, plots , ending and what they're doing for their lives . All I know is that they're just two kids absolutely doing nothing and then a big and epic plot/action/situation comes in and yeah that's the whole episode. That's just it. Nothing much. But atcually , I haven't finished writing and planning the whole story's lore and preface soooooo yeah , it's a W-I-P project XP . And hear me out , THB has a HUGE , MASSIVE , ULTIMATE AND ENORMOUS LORE!! OH WAIT- OR SHOULD I SAY THE LORE IS - IS ALL ABOUT THB'S STORY!!! WAIT- THAT SOLVES IT ALL!! YEAHHH THB IS ALL ABOUT ITS LORE :D OKAYYY NOW I GOTTA WORK ON THEIR LORE EHEH! Or maybe it's about the context missing from the story... Ah- nevermind, I CHOOSE BOTH LORE AND CONTEXT!

CHARACTERS!
The story certainly has a lot of characters. In THB'S family , there's their dad, Houghton Rivers and their sweet sister, Mei ! They also have an enormous pet cat called Oyen! Unfortunately , their mom has died due to- WAIT !! SPOILERS AND PLOT THAT I HAVENT WORKED ON! >:0 phew , that was close! Anyways , at this point , here's Tim , Ted , Mei and even Oyen that I drew the latest :

instead I make them talk and express themselves! XD In this way , I could see their personality soon whenever i have to make a new comic or maybe continue writin' the context of the story. I'm more graphic-genic ;)  Here is Mei , THB'S sister! I haven't worked on her personality yet, but as far that i could describe her is- she's a sweet sister and an adventurer.  I love them <3  |

I could imagine , he wears glasses and an introverted. I'm still thinking
what job is suitable for him- maybe an architect? A soldier/chief/
commander? I dunno. There are many thoughts in my head.
The Old Pages
THB ( ... or should I say their birthdays :D ) was created on around 18th - 20th May 2021.
That day was the day I moved into a new house. I also got a new sketchbook at that time. It also brings me sm memories and nostalgia in that month as I discovered a new fandom that I was reallyyy interested in it (....yep , it was Eddsworld . ) and there were couple of songs that I've always hear everyday like Bruno Mars's famous song called "Imma leave the door open" and "Chamber of Reflection " by Mac DeMarco , one of my favourite songs. Ah , how I love the times- Oh yaa , back to THB XD. Ok soo it was a boring day , and I decided to draw in my new sketchbook! Since it's new , I'm more confident to draw! :D And then... at last , after 'braining' what to draw , I drew some people and OYENNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in a fresh , empty A5 PAGEEE! Here it is:

To me , it seems that these characters are already in my head and had planned before I drew , but I dont't remember much at that moment. Well , here it is , my fellow readers! ^w^ As you can see here , I drew Tim , Ted and Terra. Terra was the old version of Mei.

Versions of oyen! - the second page I drew.  found the ✨perfect ✨MEI!! At first , i named her Tamara, cuz it fits her and thb's name with the letter 'T' , but months later I changed her to 'Mei' , more suitable and fits her appearance to me :) As you can see here , this is Mei's official oufit! and also the Mei on the right is the one that i drew last year. She looks more energetic xD  Ah, yes! My favourite piece of art in my old sketchbook! This is part of THB'S story too This scene is where a dinosaur came out of an egg that left behind 1 million years ago and it suddenly cracked and it was ALIVE!!!11!11 Then the dino ( maybe i call it Marf ) attacks the city to find his friends and well , mostly food :( Then the SPACE CATS ARMY ( SCA ) JOIN IN TO FIGHT MARF!!! ... and a war begins! :D And so , this magnificent piece of art is called THE WAR OF MARF AND SCA! and that's not the end of it..  DON'T STOP ME NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D ( yes at this time i'm currently listening to Don't Stop me now by Queen , and without a sec this song fits the art xD )  spy cats , doctor cats and post cats! :3 The SCA is part of THB , and there are special episodes dedicated to them that I'm gonna make it soon :) (the food raiders) Future Projects & HopeSo what am I gonna do with The Houghton Bros in this year , 2023? Enjoy this nyan cat video.Well, soon , I'm targeting and hoping that I'll able to make and finish 10 comic series this year. If I have to make 10 comics , I'll have to make 10 epic posters too :D No , it's not had to draw and make posters , its atcually fun to do!! If an artist said a poster is hard to make, don't believe in them. It's ez if you usaha for it :) Also , I hope I can make THB comic series in digital , but it's different from the traditional. It's boring to read the same thing, right? I'll be learning digital art this year , trying something new! Apart from making comics , I'll try to make 2 short digital animation projects with THB. I didn't plan anything yet with that-- but it's gonna be awesome at the end of this year! Animating is hard to me since I'm just using an animation web called Wick Editor. If I can't make it on digital , I'll try to make it as traditional. Honestly , i hate doing digital cuz it hurts my eyes as it takes hours and even months to do. I'll think about it what medium should i use for animation soon. I hope i can make some animations using my favourite songs XD I really can't describe what i'm thinking... :/ but it's not meme animations- its smth special ;) I wanted to make THB a little bit famous, soooo I gotta share it to social media..... which I hate it :( I dunno what app to share my comic and animation but most importantly its not gonna be tiktok. I WILL NOT BE USING TIKTOK EVER IN MY LIFE! MARK MY WORDS! There are some apps I'll not be using besides tiktok , like Instagram, Webtoon and Facebook. I'm more comfortable sharing my content in Pinterest and Youtube. Youtube's not suitable for uploading comics, so I should be uploading.... animation. Pinterest is good for uploading images and thumbnails/pics of my THB digital comic! And with that at least I've got sum vistiors to read my content :) I'll think about it soon. Maybe someday I could make my own web dedicated to my comics... someday. Last but not least for 2023 , I'll be drawing sceneries in THB places like the Bridgestone , their kampung and many more beautiful places I make that I'lll be drawing in a sketchbook dedicated to it. And besdies sceneries , i'll be drawing all of characters in THB!! It's like a sketchbook-documentary I'll be making. :D I'm sorry if this year's plan is just a little- there's more art projects i wanna make like Cat's Quest and Man a Duck. However , I put THB first on my ' SARA'S ULTIMATE BUCKET LIST' ! â´·à´§⋀ Life is full of challenges and dreams that I've gotta achive.
